The body secretes insulin whenever carbohydrates (sugars/grains) or high levels of protein are consumed. Insulin is known to increase inflammation & fat storage. The typical American diet is full of carbohydrates causing rampant increases in insulin. Vitamin C foods:

It is essential for the immune system. Antioxidants prevent free radical damage to DNA, which helps prevent disease. Camu camu has multiple sources of natural vitamin C that work synergistically to protect the nervous system and help you reach peak mental ability. Eating foods known to nourish your brain can help prevent or even reverse plaque buildup associated with degenerative conditions like Alzheimer's and dementia.

Probiotics:

Living organisms that enhance the digestion and nutrient absorbtion process. These organisms also play a very important role in immune function. In my opinion, this is the most critical supplement you can take. Important to get as pure a source as possible, ideally, without magnesium stereate or titanium dioxide. A typical serving should give you between 50-100 billion organisms. Incorporating high quality fermented foods like red cabbage sauerkraut, kimchi, pickles, amasai, & coconut kefir is another great way to get the highest quality Probiotics into your diet on a daily basis.

High Quality Omega 3:

Essential fats play a critical role in fighting inflammation and supporting a healthy brain & nervous system. Critical fats include EPA & DHA, which should be consumed in a 3:2 ratio from a purified, 3rd-Party tested source. I recommend Nordic Naturals for fish oil, highest reputation on the market and loaded with EPA/DHA. Krill oil is also a good option, with Mercola brand leading the way. Aim for anywhere from 1.5-10g of EPA/DHA daily. Another essential fat, GLA, can be found in hemp seed/oil that is easily consumed as part of a healthy diet.

Vitamin D3: 

Plays a critical role in brain development, immune coordination and calcium metabolism.  Over 90% of our society is deficient in D3 due to inadequate sun exposure.  I recommend 5,000 – 10,000 IU daily depending upon sun exposure and pre-existing levels.  Optimal levels should be between 70-100 ng/ml.Niacin: also referred as B3 has many beneficial actions. Aids with the cardiovascular system, digestive system, aids with tinnitus, excretory and immune systems, it's useful in the treatment of age related macular degeneration, it's useful  in the bodies ability to produce energy, 3k mg per day of B3 may be an effective treatment for Osteoarthritis, tremendous amount of research is available in the field dealing with nervous system, the list of benefits go on and on. It's one of my daily contributions to my health.

My New Vital Lifestyle product:

I am a fan of the Biomat by Richway Int., I call it a Lifestyle Product because in my home, which I refer to as my Wellness Home I have made conscience changes towards healthy living by creating a greenhouse effect. Now my body has a fighting chance to heal itself efficiently. I have been supplementing nutritionally most of my life but the last 10 years I have added better clean alkaline water to drink and shower, I have added more efficient clean ionic air filtration, I no longer suffer from breathing issues, I also added a more efficient natural sleeping environment. Recently I have added one of the missing links to the total wellness home and that's  the connection to natures wonders, the Biomat. I personally use it daily and recommend it in my practice. Non-Starchy Vegetables:

Eat these in abundance. Best varieties include broccoli, cauliflower, artichoke, spinach, romaine lettuce, chard, collards, kale, arugula, bok choy, celery, green/yellow/red peppers, cucumber, zucchini, red/green cabbage, etc.Good Fats: Extra-virgin coconut & olive oil, grass-fed cow butter/cheese, free-range eggs, coconut milk & flakes, whole coconut, avocado, black olives, nuts (walnuts, almonds, brazil nuts are best), seeds (flax, hemp, & chia).

These should be a strong part of each meal

.Moderate Protein: Grass-fed & free-range meats, non-denatured grass-fed whey protein powder (Maximized Living), wild-Alaskan salmon (1x/week)/sardines, fermented soy (tempeh), nuts/seeds. No more than 15-25 g/per meal. 4-6 ounces of steak is enough in a meal.

Minimize Fruit:

Berries are acceptable in small quantities. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, & cranberries. Great in a protein shake.

Avoid Grains:

Mary’s Gone Wild crackers, & Lydia’s crackers are acceptable in small quantities.

No other grains/potatoes/squash, etc.

Typical Meals:Sunny-side up eggs, Amasai with blueberries, salads, steak & broccoli/asparagus, soft-boiled eggs, nuts/seeds, avocados, tempeh, hummus, vegetable stir-fry’s with coconut oil, steamed veggies, coconut milk shakes with protein powder, red cabbage & guacamole, flax chips and guacamole, chicken, lamb, bison, venison, duck, sardines, Wild-Alaskan salmon. Coconut flakes (great snack, especially when frozen)Simply put, all of us naturally detoxify - everyday.

Detoxification is essential to life - without it we would not survive. Everyday our body must try to neutralize toxins in the colon, liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph system and skin. But, when over-burdened with chemical poisons in our food, personal care products and household furniture (to name a few) - we lose our ability to detox which leads to disease.

Remember, the first sign of disease (and a greater need for detoxification) is fatigue. Eating too many wheat products - especially if they are genetically engineered; factory-farmed meat and dairy products plus overly-processed sugar will clog up your circulation and cause all sorts of health-related problems.

For example, did you know that casein, in dairy products, is used to make furniture glue? Many health experts agree that poor health begins in the gut. 'Sticky foods' like gluten, casein and sugar cause intestinal disturbances like, Candida and irritable bowel disease. And, let's not forget those nasty parasites - which can cause leaky gut syndrome, excess bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, headaches, sinus congestion - the list goes on and on.

Time can be our best friend or worst enemy, disease does not develop over night, there is a process to that development. Unfortunately, because of time we forgot when and  where it all originated.  Just remember that health is not a luxury it's a necessity, we constantly have to be vigilant to keep toxic waist out of our bodies so the body can heal itself more efficiently.
